That is why they take a business-friendly approach, working as partners with business owners and managers to simplify processes and procedures. Our communities are known for their political stability and long-term thinking, which has helped local leaders keep taxes low while maintaining a stable tax base. Indiana’s workers' compensation insurance rates are very low. Local government bodies and state economic agencies offer a variety of generous incentive programs that can lower the cost of establishing operations here and allow you to expand existing facilities and lines for less. We would be happy to discuss your needs and provide specific recommendations. ![Public-Partnerships](https://shelbydevelopment.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Public-Partnerships.png?width=1000&height=675&name=Public-Partnerships.png) ## SHELBY**GOVERNMENT** County Government [Shelby County](http://www.co.shelby.in.us/) Cities and Town Governments [City of Shelbyville](http://www.cityofshelbyvillein.com/) [Town of Morristown](https://www.morristown.in.gov/) [Town of Edinburgh](http://www.edinburgh.in.us/) [Town of Fairland](http://fairlandin.org/) State of Indiana [Indiana Economic Development Corporation](http://iedc.in.gov/) #### let's talk about ## **SHELBY**COUNTY **If you are looking to relocate or expand in the Indianapolis Region, let's discuss your needs and provide a tour. ** [CONTACT US](https://shelbydevelopment.com/contact-us?hsLang=en) - - - - - [mailto:d.tracy@shelbydevelopment.com](mailto:d.tracy@shelbydevelopment.com) **SHELBY COUNTY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION** 16 Public Square, Suite A | Shelbyville, IN 46176 © 2026 [SHELBY COUNTY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION](https://shelbydevelopment.com?hsLang=en) l All Rights Reserved | [317.398.8903](tel:3173988903) - [Site by Clever Dogs Media](https://www.cleverdogsmedia.com/)
