To help raise its visibility in the economic development space, the Shelby County Development Corporation has launched a new website.
Executive Director Brian Asher said Shelby County continues to be an attractive place for companies considering relocation or expansion. He said SCDC needed to tell its story more visually and compellingly for site selectors and industries considering the Indianapolis region.
"So much research is done on the internet. You need to have a strong presence and an inviting message. Our new website explains to visitors why they should look here and helps us make that connection," Asher said.
The new site includes information about the county's amenities, a listing of available land and buildings, a focus on target industries, links to economic and demographic data and ways to connect with local officials.
The site was created by Clever Dogs Media, a Franklin, Indiana-based digital marketing firm that has experience in the economic development industry and has worked with other clients in Shelby County - including Mainstreet Shelbyville and Runnebohm Construction.
Debra Tracy of SCDC said the site was designed to meet the organization's digital marketing needs of today but also can serve the organization as Shelby County grows.
